About

Ahunur Ozkarahan studied Graphic Arts at Marmara University, Istanbul (1994–1998) and later earned a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies – Electronic Arts from California State University, USA (1999–2001). Alongside maintaining her printmaking studio practice, she built a career in educational technology.

She furthered her artistic development at the Istanbul Museum of Graphic Arts (IMOGA, 2006–2009), and explored photopolymer printmaking at Edinburgh Printmakers, Scotland (2008–2009). She also attended printmaking and design courses at Central Saint Martins, UAL, London.

 

Ahunur Ozkarahan completed her Ph.D. in Plastic Arts & Painting at Yeditepe University, Istanbul, which included a semester of ecological art research at the Art & Ecology Department, University of New Mexico, USA.


She has taught art and design at various universities and secondary schools in Istanbul and internationally, combining her expertise in studio practice, visual arts, design and ecological art.
